Welcome to the ARMSA -Website. This is not a comprehensive guide but merely a guideline in which I will strive to explain some basic concepts to this website to you. If I fail to explain anything clearly please don't hesitate to contact the web master with all your questions.

The above graphic depicts the front page of the website. This page will always be the first page which will appear when ever you log onto the website.

This page is decided in two main parts or "frames" as they are generally refer too. The "BLUE FRAME" on the left hand of the screen is the navigation "frame" In this frame you choose where you would like to go to.

Navigation Bar

By clicking on the "link" on the blue frame you can change the information in the left hand side (white) frame. The right hand frame is refer to as the "contents" frame.

A "link" is any underlined topic which indicates that by clicking on the said topic it will link you to the contents to which this topic refers.

When a specific topic have been perused you can return to the main page by clicking on either the BACK or HOME links in the navigation bar.

When clicking on the Library link in the Navigation bar a secondary navigation bar with other options open. If you click on the this links on of two things may happen. By clicking on the newsletters link will take you to a further navigation bar where u can select the newsletter you may want to read. The chosen newsletter will open in the "contents frame" If you however click on any of the other links you will be able to choose a report or judgment of your choice. How ever by clicking on the desired report/judgment the report/judgment will not open in the contents frame. Due to the size of these items the following screen will appear

choose the SAVE options from the above menu. The chosen item will then be downloaded to the hard disk drive of your personal computer. All downloads in this site are stored in a winzip format. Before you will be able to open the zipped document you must first download and install the winzip program.

 

What is WINZIP ?

Winzip is a freeware program that can be downloaded for free from www.winzip.com

Winzip is a compression program which is used to reduce the original file size. by reducing the size of the original size it shorten download times and save space on the website. After downloading the file you will see the following icon on your computer in the directory where you have stored the file.

by clicking on the yellow icon the following screen will appear on your screen

the above screen indicates the contents of the compressed ZIP file. The above file contains 3 copies of the same case in three (3) different formats. the top file is in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). If u click on the file it will open in your internet browser. (Internet Explorer/Netscape/ect)

The middle file is stored in MICROSOFT WORD format. If u click on the file it will open in Microsoft Word. If you don't have a copy of Microsoft word a Microsoft Word reader is available free on the Microsoft website.

The bottom file is stored in PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT (PDF) This is a neutral format that will also allow you to open any .PDF document and print it. To utilize this document format you must download a free Adobe Acrobat reader here.

All documents is stored as far as possible in multiple formats. You have the choice to open one of them in the format of your choice.

On the front page you can subscribe to the ARMSA mailing list by completing this text box

All subscribers will received all the latest Judgments/newsletters ect by e-mail fresh from the press. All documents forwarded to you will also be "zipped" as a matter of practice. The attachments from your e-mail can be open in the same way as described above.
